A comparative study of educational policy in the field of factors and ways of recruiting teachers in Iran and Japan
Abstract
The aim of the current research was to study the comparative study of educational policy in the field of factors and methods of teacher recruitment and selection in Iran and Japan. Bardi's model, which has four stages of description, interpretation, comparison and comparison, was used for data analysis. The research community includes countries that have made reforms in the field of recruiting and selecting teachers in the last two decades. For this reason, the two countries of Iran and Japan were selected as research examples based on purposeful sampling in order to give priority to the issue of how to recruit and select teachers, based on documents and reports. Research data were collected through library documents, articles, quarterly and annual reports from some international sites such as UNESCO and the sites of the Ministry of Education of the two target countries. The findings showed that the greatest similarity between Japan and Iran is related to the admission to the exam and determining the qualification for choosing a teacher. Another finding showed that the main difference between the two studied countries is related to the holding of practical courses in the centers affiliated to the teacher training university for teaching practice and conducting related research and determining the qualification to enter the teaching profession. The results of this research can help educational planners and policy makers in selecting and recruiting and planning to determine the necessary qualifications to enter the teaching profession.
